For example London based Mark calls his girlfriend Laura in Australia virtually all the time. Mark has rented a local London number and mapped it to Laura's Australian mobile number. He only ever calls his London number to talk to Laura and (obviously) she also has a local Sydney number mapped to Mark's mobile in London.

Who is it for?
Internet Telephone Service Providers worldwide, looking new marketing ideas and needing global call coverage. ITSP's often have a niche market they are approaching, often based on a marketing knowledge of a particular geography, ethnicity or a particular demographic factor.
How does it work?
Your customer would go online and subscribe to your service. During the subscription process they would submit an international number they wish to call regularly. The international number would then be mapped “Local Number” and so your customer need only call that local number to be connected to the International number.
The local number would be a town or city local to the end user and so would only ever pay local charges.
Using Mark as the example again, he calls his girlfriend Laura in Sydney Australia virtually all the time. Mark has a local London number mapped to Laura’s Australian mobile number. So he only ever calls a London number from his mobile to talk to his girlfriend. Laura, has a local Sydney number mapped to Mark’s mobile. They both save lots of cash and can speak to each other (in his words) “as cheap as chips”.
In the background ICC is using the Number Forwarding part of its world class Active SoftSwitch service to do all the billing, routing and customer management and creating the opportunity for you to manage such service through your service portal.
You can login to your portal anytime anywhere and just as your customer can log onto theirs. They can add money to their account, check usage and ass more numbers to forward.
