Active SoftSwitch v2.1 Implemented
Last weekend saw the successful roll-out of ASv2.1 which brings several upgrades in the underlying services used by Active SoftSwitch in addition to some new tools and options.
Faster and Stronger
The primary benefit of the upgrade is that the Content Management element of Active SoftSwitch has become faster and more resilient. This has been achieved by two main developments. Firstly there has been a further evolution of the system architecture which underpins our CMS service and secondly, several of our 3rd party component providers have streamlined and improved their services. These changes have made ASv2.1 both faster and stronger and it is now fully in service for all ICC Partners.
Smarter Registration Forms
We agree that registration forms are one of the most important elements of the service, given that they are one of the first things that your potential new customers sees. That’s why ASv2.1 now presents your registration forms in the latest Bootstrap format, so that they look equally as elegant on a Desktop, Tablet or Mobile.
New Media Management
This new release also helps you to manage your content, images and text, by incorporating several new capabilities and tools.
For example, you can now drag and drop images from your computer hard drive into the CMS rather than having to search in the file from the CMS import tool. This speeds up the process of setting up or refreshing the images on your site. Secondly, there is now an integrated Web Search Tool to simplify the process of importing media from the internet.
Once your image is in the Content Management System, it’s easy to make simple changes to the image using our newly integrated Edit Tools. That means you can undertake simple tasks like cropping your images or filtering them for Brightness, Saturation, Exposure and so on, from INSIDE the CMS, just as you would in a separate tool like Photoshop, Fireworks or Acorn.
It all adds up to another solid move forward for Active SoftSwitch.
